Procurement Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
• Develop and execute procurement strategies for imported and domestic materials,
components, and finished goods.
• Source high-quality suppliers for mechanical, electronic, optical, and automation
components.
• Manage procurement of precision spares and consumables required for core manufacturing
and after-sales support.
• Negotiate and finalize procurement contracts ensuring favourable terms and conditions.

2. Supply Chain Coordination:
• Ensure efficient planning and scheduling of material deliveries to support production and
service needs.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, stores, and sales to
forecast material requirements.
• Monitor lead times and optimize inventory to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
3. Vendor Management & Development:
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to enhance supply base capability and
reliability.
• Develop long-term relationships with key vendors for continuous supply assurance and
quality improvement.
• Conduct periodic supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards.

4. Cost Management & Optimization:
• Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to control procurement costs.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality or timelines.
• Ensure competitive benchmarking and continuous improvement in sourcing processes.

5. Documentation & Compliance:
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, supplier evaluations, and imports.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to imports, exports
and domestic purchases.
• Work closely with finance and legal departments to ensure smooth documentation and
approvals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• 7+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in industrial or engineering product
environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, MBA or certification in Supply
Chain/Procurement preferred
• Experience in handling international imports and customs documentation is a must.

Skills:
• Experience with sourcing engineering components, spares, and production consumables.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
